Telice (Telefonos Lineas y Centrales, S.A.) plays a crucial role in transforming and enhancing the railway infrastructure in Spain, collaborating with ADIF High-Speed on two key projects aimed at optimizing and modernizing the North-Northwest High-Speed Corridor, specifically in the Palencia-Le\u00f3n section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In partnership with UTE Contratas y Ventas, S.A.U., Telice has been awarded a significant portion of the North-Northwest High-Speed Corridor duplication project, covering from RAF Palencia to Bifurcaci\u00f3n Vilecha. This ambitious project has an awarded value of \u20ac21,658,000.00 and an execution period of 37 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main objective of this initiative is to provide double track to the Palencia-Le\u00f3n section, completing the stretch between Bifurcaci\u00f3n Las Arenas and Bifurcaci\u00f3n Vilecha by installing a second track. Additionally, the PAET (Temporary Overtaking and Parking Point) of Villada will be carried out, including the projection of siding track 4, as well as the adjacent spur tracks and connections to the main tracks. The successful completion of this project will result in 41 new kilometers of duplicated track, significantly enhancing the operational capacity of the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On another front, Telice, in collaboration with MYTRA Control SL, leads the execution of works related to three Intermediate Autotransformation Centers, the adaptation of electrical areas in substations, and energy telecontrol associated with the track duplication in the Palencia-Le\u00f3n section. This contract, with an awarded amount of \u20ac5,156,736.05 and an execution period of 11 months, involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of the necessary electrical facilities for electrification at 2×25 kV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The strategic locations of these facilities span the municipalities of Grijota, Becerril, Paredes de Nava, Cisneros, Villada (in Palencia), as well as Grajal de Campos, Calzada del Coto, El Burgo Ranero, Luengos, and Onzonilla (in Le\u00f3n).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the first time Telice has played a crucial role in the railway development of the region. In 2014, the company participated in the contract “Execution of works and maintenance of traction electrical substations and associated autotransformation centers, energy telecontrol, and high-voltage lines of the Valladolid-Le\u00f3n section, phase I.” Additionally, it was awarded the contract “Execution of works for the constructive project of overhead contact line installations and associated systems for the Valladolid-Le\u00f3n section of the North-Northwest High-Speed Corridor.” These previous projects underscore Telice’s ongoing commitment to the development and expansion of the railway network in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These actions also contribute to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations agenda. They support SDG 9 by promoting the construction of reliable, sustainable, and quality infrastructure.
