Railway innovation in motion: ALTIUMCAT Project
At Telice, we remain at the forefront of railway innovation and would like to share one of our most recent developments: the ALTIUMCAT project. This innovation project focuses on the development of new technologies to monitor the dynamic behavior of pantographs and improve the understanding of the pantograph-catenary interface on railway lines around the world.
Through ALTIUMCAT, we have developed a system that uses laser triangulation technology to continuously record the movement of the contact wire in two dimensions. In addition, with the support of a weather station, we can correlate critical variables such as wind intensity, wind direction and temperature, allowing us to analyze the behavior of this key interface at any commercial speed.
This comprehensive approach promises to revolutionize the maintenance and monitoring of railway catenaries, covering high-speed, conventional and commuter lines.
The project has been funded by ICECYL, Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León, and supported by ITCL Technology Center.
At Telice, we firmly believe that technological innovation is the driving force behind the transformation of the rail industry and sustainable infrastructure development. Our mission is to apply that technology in practical and efficient ways, turning ideas into solutions that make a difference in the quality of life of the people and communities we serve.
With projects such as ALTIUMCAT, we take another step towards our vision of being a benchmark company that not only meets the standards, but also drives the progress and transformation of the Spanish railway sector.
If you share our passion for innovation and technological development, we invite you to join us and be part of the projects that are transforming the future of rail transportation.
