The RESILTRACK project (Resilience of Railway Infrastructures to Climate Change) involved a powerful Spanish consortium of companies that sought to improve the protection measures of the railway infrastructure against the challenges posed by the advance of climate change, and in particular, the changes in the seasonal thermal regime to which the different elements that form part of the railroad system are subjected.
TELICE participated in this project with the development of tools for catenary design and its simulation in different thermal conditions, as well as with a set of prototype sensors aimed at monitoring the mechanical response of the contact wire and catenary support system.
The RESILTRACK consortium, formed by COMSA, RETEVISIÓN, TELICE, GETINSA EUROESTUDIOS-TPF INGENIERÍA, CEMOSA, MAGTEL and ESTUDIOS GIS, with the participation of TECNALIA, CIMNE, LEITAT and the University of Malaga as collaborating entities, carried out its tasks with funding from the Center for Technological Development and Innovation, with file number 00102669 / IDI-20171008.
