Telice, protagonist in the railway improvement of the Guillarei-Tui section

The company has participated in projects related to electrification, signaling, and track clearing in this cross-border section with Portugal.

Telice, a company specialized in railway installations and services, has been one of the main collaborators in the modernization of the Guillarei-Tui section, which is part of line 814 between Guillarei and Valença do Minho (Portugal), a branch of line 810 Monforte de Lemos-Vigo.

The company has participated in three different projects, which have substantially improved the infrastructure and safety of this section, which is about 16 kilometers long and connects with the international bridge over the Miño River, the border with Portugal.

The latest action in which Telice has intervened was the execution of the works of the security installations affected by the electrification of the overhead line of the Guillarei-Tui section, in collaboration with the company Enyse. This project, technically approved in September 2018, has involved the replacement of electric interlockings with electronic technology, installation of axle counters, provision of LED technology luminous signals, the digital ASFA system, and the inclusion in the CTC of Orense of the new facilities. The most recent commissioning of this project has included the sections Porriño-Os Valos and Os Valos-Redondela, while previously the sections Salvaterra-Guillarei, Guillarei-Tui, and Guillarei-As Gándaras had been commissioned.

Previously, Telice had participated in the execution of the works of the constructive project of electrification of the Guillarei-Tui section, which aimed at the installation of the complete overhead contact line system at 3KV, which was previously nonexistent, and the electrification of the Tui station on its tracks 1, 2, and 4. This project was part of the bilateral agreements between Spain and Portugal to improve cross-border railway services.

Finally, the company also collaborated in the execution of track clearing works on the Guillarei-Redondela route, along with the company Contratas y Servicios Ferroviarios (COSFESA). This work involved the removal of track materials, such as ballast, sleepers, or rails, for subsequent reuse or disposal.

With these three actions, Telice has demonstrated its capacity and experience in the railway sector, offering comprehensive and quality solutions to its clients, and contributing to the development and improvement of the infrastructure and safety of the Spanish railway network.
